Event Details

In Honor of Asian  American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Mr. Ton will discuss the YA novel Butterfly Yellow by Thanhha Lai. This story focuses on two siblings attempting  to safely flee their country during the Vietnam War and reuniting in America. Butterfly Yellow won the Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction in 2020.
