Event Details

Come see professionally staged readings of plays not yet produced in San Diego, from historic to hot-off-the-press. Then stay afterward to weigh in and “undo” the hot topics presented in the lively moderated discussion that follows.

Sisters Three places the three Bronte sisters--Charlotte, Emily and Anne--in modern day on the eve of Charlotte's 35th birthday in Emily's small studio apartment. It's been seven months since the sisters' brother, Patrick, has died, which prompted Charlotte to drop out of society and join a "no technology" commune on Gondal Island. EJ (Emily) and Anne want Charlotte to return to them, for they both feel lost without her, so they're building a canoe to rescue her from the commune. As they build the canoe, dark secrets are revealed which could tear the sisters apart. Directed by Taberah Holloway
