Union-Tribune language columnist and International Punster of the Year Richard Lederer will offer a program of history, lore, jokes, puns, and funny verse about Christmas. This San Diego Oasis presentation is free to attend thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Branch Library.

Dr. Lederer will also auction off the following programs, and any proceeds will go to the Friends of the Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Branch Library to support future library events. 

  • LEDERER ON LANGUAGE. Language author and columnist Dr. Richard Lederer will come to your home, book club, child’s school, house of worship, local library, service club, or business to present whatever program of language learning and fun you wish.
  • POKER 101. As the father of Howard “The Professor” Lederer and Annie Duke, “The Duchess of Poker,” Richard Lederer is the most successful breeder of world-class poker players in history. Dr. Lederer will talk about the great American game of Texas Hold’em and instruct you in its fundamentals. Beginning and intermediate players are warmly welcomed.
