Program Description

Event Details

Hop in your time machine and join us for a beginner ukulele lesson for adults followed by a vocal concert from the jazz age!

In the 1920’s, ukulele playing was all the rage. Your experience begins with an introductory ukulele lesson! We’ll supply you with a ukulele and teach you some ukulele basics along with an easy intro to a ukulele song or two from the 1920s.

For the concert, you’ll enter the jazz age speakeasy. You’ll be encouraged to relax, sing along or even dance to the sounds of vintage jazz from the 1920s through the 1940s. The concert includes your instructors and hosts, Alison on vocals and ukulele, and Wil on guitar and vocals. Together they have performed around the world with their vintage jazz duo, Birdy and the Bowtie.

NOTE: Please only register if you require a ukulele for the lesson.  If you already own a ukulele, please bring it to the event and do not register.
