Secret Doors

Nathaly Alvizures is a self-taught conceptual artist who was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and migrated to America at the age of eleven. In 2018 Nathaly struggled with homelessness and found herself living in a Domestic Violence Shelter called Becky’s House with her five children. She focused on her two main passions, motherhood and photography, to document her current challenges, and in doing so, found that she could express her suffering through the eye of her lens. In this time of her life Nathaly produced beautifully tender compositions of self-worth, struggle, and intimate suffering.

Artist Reception will be held Saturday July 15 from 2:00-4:30pm.
