Write Out Loud

Write Out Loud partners with the NEA Big Read to provide free books and engagement opportunities to students across the county through Read! Imagine! Create! High School students will read THE BEST WE COULD DO by Thi Bui, and Middle School students will read MEXIKID by Pedro Martin. Students will interpret character, theme, setting, tone, genre, plot, or concept into whatever artistic medium they are inspired to create. The display will include 2-D and 3-D art pieces -painting, sculpture, etc.

Applications will be considered on a first-come basis. Organizations and individuals based in San Diego or serving primarily San Diego residents, which have not used exhibit space within the past year, will be given priority.
