Event Details

Wikipedia is the largest online encyclopedia in the world. With millions of articles, thousands of editors, and decades of research, it has become a trusted resource for getting first-look information in dozens of different disciplines. Yet fewer than 20% of Wikipedia's biographical articles feature women. Please join us on Monday, March 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to learn to edit Wikipedia pages and to help correct this disparity. All experience levels are welcome. It is highly recommended that participants create a Wikipedia account ahead of time.

Light refreshment will be provided.

Can't make March 27th? We'll be hosting a similar event on the following date, with more to come next quarter!

Please register and reserve your space below!

The San Diego Wikimedians User Group, an affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation, will be giving a short tutorial on getting started with Wikipedia. Afterwards, we will begin editing! Computers will be available. Attendees may bring their own WiFi-enabled devices if they so desire, though in-room outlet space may be limited.
