Event Details

Watch a free virtual screening of the 1970 adaptation of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights.  This version stars Anna Calder-Marshall as Cathy & Timothy Dalton (in a pre-James Bond role) as Heathcliff.  Tune in and watch online anytime between 12:00 p.m. – 11:59 p.m. Login information will be sent to those who register. This film is rated G.
 

About the Book: Wuthering Heights, published in 1847, is a dark melodrama about love tangled with revenge. The doomed love of characters Heathcliff and Cathy have since inspired numerous books, movies, and even songs. The somber power of the book and the elements of brutality in the characters affronted some 19th-century opinion, but modern critics laud it as one of the finest novels in the English language.
