Youth Art Month was created in 1961 (originally called Children’s Art Month) to emphasize the value of youth participating in the
education of visual arts. Youth Art Month helps keep art in our schools, in our lives and helps solidify its’ place in our futures.
Having art in school curriculums ensures that every child has equal access to creative arts education and programs.
The theme of Youth Art Month for 2019 is “Your Art, Your Story” We’ll provide the supplies, you just bring your creativity to the table.
Build to your hearts desire! The best creation (as chosen by
audience vote) will win a tote full of art supplies!
