Program Description

Event Details

The Art of Sketching will be offered again to new and unexperienced participants for 3 weeks in October. During the sessions you will learn how to see and sketch ordinary objects in your daily life, which can open your eyes and senses to what you ordinarily overlook. It's also a wonderful way to celebrate and concentrate on what is right in front of you.

Suggested Materials:

  • a curious and interested spirit*
  • a pencil or pen*
  • a journal or sketchbook*
  • a waterbrush, an inexpensive ($6.00) plastic travel brush that holds water, available at Michaels or online, Amazon
  • a set of watercolors, usually a travel water color paint sketchers’ pocket box, half pans. Easily obtained online with Amazon, or from a craft store like Michaels ($15.00)
  • a small Kleenex pack.
