Description of Event
We are going to be building our own easy tool to meet your winter needs.
This is a good thing to know if you never want to spend money on a scarf again! A great gift or craft to donate to families in need of winter supplies as well.
We will start by learning how to build a loom, using some scraps of wood and nails.
Then we will learn different knitting patterns and choose one to start learning how to use your new loom.
Sunday we are going to learn how to make blankets for babies, and will be collecting them to donate to the Baby Boutique (we'll tell you guys more about this amazing program, and other resources, during the meeting).
Both activities are super easy and fun, no previous experience needed at all. You can even learn just one of them instead of both if you want...
This is open to everyone so bring a friend! If you want to participate in our group but think you won't be able to perform these activities, still come! You can help us run the event and activities for the day - and get to know everyone!
We will be having a lot of events involving a lot of different mediums of art: photography, painting, collages, videography, scultpure, etc;
We will be teaching and learning a lot of skills, and getting to know a lot of nice people while at it. So if you can't come to this event, I hope you still check out our next one and we will see you there!
