Join Mrs. Claudia on Friday, June 11th at 10 am on the SDPL Virtual Hub and SY Facebook page, for a special multilingual storytime as she reads in Spanish, English and sign language,  Sembrando historias: Pura Belpré : bibliotecaria y narradora de cuentos / Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré

This beautifully illustrated book tells a lovely story about Pura Belpré immigrating to the United States and becoming the first bilingual librarian at the New York Public Library.

Sigue la vida y el legado de Pura Belpré, la primera bibliotecaria puertorriqueña del ciudad de Nueva York.
Describes the life and accomplishments of Pura Belpré, a Puerto Rican librarian who introduced the folk tales of her native island first to the children of New York and afterwards throughout the country.
