Event Details

Do you have a child learning to read? Bring them to the library on the 3rd Thursday of each month to read to an adorable animal friend!

Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. for Sharing Stories with Furry Friends! Children can practice their literacy skills and build confidence in reading and public speaking. Reading to animals has also been proven to reduce stress and anxiety, and promote wellness.

Trained animals will be provided by volunteers with the San Diego Humane Society, so please leave your own pets at home.

Animals are available on a first come, first served basis.
