Description of Event
Series II: Cannabis Therapy for Opioid Addiction & Epidemic Discussion. Educational panel discussion. This is the third educational forum we have had and the second discussion on Cannabis Therapy on Opioid Addiction. Our confirmed panelists will include Dr. Mitzi MacKenzie, an adolescent and family therapist who specializes in opiate addiction and Dr. Sherry Yafai, a physician who practices at the Releaf Institute. At our last discussion on May 5th at San Diego State University, our audience requested more information than our 2-hour discussion allowed. The audience consisted of an older, baby boomer crowd looking for alternatives to opioid pain treatment. Since our audience members have health problems we are changing event locations for ease of parking and public transportation. There will be no cannabis use or products at the event. This event is free and open to the public.
