Celebrando Latinx Heritage Month at the San Diego Public Library!

Every September 15th – October 15th, we celebrate Latinx Heritage Month to honor the history & achievements the Latinx Community has made to U.S. culture & society, & to bring awareness to their continuing struggle to achieve equity & justice in all aspects of their lives.

During this virtual art workshop, we will be giving step-by-step instructions on how to create these beautiful nicho boxes, & discuss a brief history of nicho boxes and the importance of color in Meso-American life & art. 


At City Heights Library, staff have prepared these nicho box to-go kits, pick yours up today on Monday - Friday between 10:30am - 5:30pm, while supplies last.         City Heights Library: 3795 Fairmount Ave., San Diego, CA 92105. 619-641-6100
