Healthcare for the Homeless with Family Health Centers of San Diego reduces barriers and increases access to quality health care to those experiencing homelessness.

Join our Children’s Librarian Miss Luz for stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of fun!  This Storytime is designed especially for children ages  2-4.   This program meets every Wednesday. 

A guided meditation based on Buddhist wisdom to find happiness and peace in daily life.

Listen to simple books, do lap rhymes, finger rhymes and sing songs. Then play with fun educational toys while your grownups chat. For babies and toddlers and their caregivers.

Music & Movement is a fun class full of games and creative movement  that is perfect for the toddler and pre-school set!  Put on your dancing shoes and boogie down at the library!

Join us for a hot, nutritious lunch for all children ages 17 and under.  No registration required.  Sponsored by San Diego Unified School District and the USDA.

Weekly projects are designed to introduce various art techniques and inspire creative process.

Instructors are from Silver Age Yoga.  Every class utilizes chairs but please bring your  own exercise mat if desired.  No reservations required.

Designed for children ages 1-5, this program consists of songs and movement activities that reinforce early learning, build motor skills, and encourage independence.  We’ll sing, wiggle, shake, and move along to a full playlist of music.

Get ready to party! Join in the rhythm and be part of the drum circle!  This participatory program has drummers realizing that the “heartbeat” is the universal unifying rhythm that is always present with them – they only have to look inside.

Make a craft to take home!  Good for all ages, but kids under 6 may need parent/adult assistance.

Join us for a laugh out loud magic show performed by World Class San Diego Magician Amazing Dana!

Children from the audience will have a chance to act out Dog Breath: The Horrible Trouble with Hally Tosis, a storybook written by Dav Pilkey.

A presentation of Japanese style storytelling called Kamishibai, which combines the use of hand drawn visuals with the entertaining narration of a live presenter.  A delightful and fun story time appropriate for ages 3-10.

This event provides an opportunity for all lovers of the theater, drama, and books to meet and read plays by well known playwrights and express their vocal creativity by reading plays aloud.

Toshwerks is known primarily for their Comics and Mini Zines, but has since grown to encompass screen printing, button making and various styles of craft.

Silver Age Yoga is designed so that seniors can safely participate at their level of comfort. Bring a yoga mat and water, wear comfortable clothing, and be prepared to remove your shoes.

Jammin’ @ the Library program offers free beginning guitar instruction for teens and adults at the San Diego Public Library’s Central Library in a series of group lessons.  The program is for ages 12 and up.

Paws for Reading is a program that allows children (K - 4th grade) to read aloud to a therapy dog in order to improve reading and communication skills.

FREE 10-week classe to prepare for the Citizenship Test and Interview. You may preregister at the library or in class the first 2 weeks. Present by Jewish Family Service of San Diego.
