All sewing levels welcome! New to sewing? No problem. No experience necessary. We will show you the basics while you make a pillowcase.

Take an out-of-this-world journey inside the portable planetarium! Explore the night sky, visit constellations and galaxies, and learn about our solar system. This program includes special effects, such as lasers and music.
Casual public chess meet, open to all skill levels. Chess club is for ages 7-17.
Learn entry level operating instructions for computerized sewing machines and beginning techniques. Participants will practice basic stitches and complete a pillow case. All materials provided. Registration required.

Join us at the Kensington-Normal Heights Library for a Free Persian Music Concert in the park. The music will be jazz inspired with a Persian flair. There will be a mix of Eastern and Western Instruments.
Have an interest in guidance systems or just watching tops spin really fast? Both of these topics will be covered this workshop, where participants will learn about how a gyroscope works and the fundamental physics concepts behind it.
