Do you love competitive board game classics like Jenga, Dominoes, Uno, Monopoly, or maybe relaxing by working on a jigsaw puzzle? Drop by the Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab with your friends this summer from June to August and play!

San Diego Public Library has partnered with the San Diego Unified School District to help end summer hunger. Free summer lunch will be provided for youth aged 0-18.

Mondays are for gaming and crocheting! We call it miscellaneous for a reason :)

Dive into the world of video games at the San Diego Public Library’s 2nd annual Game Jam! Learn the basics of game development and design, then collaborate in teams to build your own game using Godot, RenPy, or Scratch.

The Teen Game Room is open! Come check out our Nintendo Switch and PS5. Teens regularly play Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Fortnite, Gang Beasts and more.

Join us every Monday for LEGO Power Hour! Build your own creations to display in our library.  Program will take place in our study rooms 3 and 4. 

The Teen IDEA Lab is a space to be used for creative projects that require specialized equipment and software.

Join us on the second Monday of each month for a fun book discussion and craft for kids aged 8-12. This month we will be discussing Maizy Chen's Last Chance, by Lisa Yee.  Snacks are provided!

Join the Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab for Maker Mondays, every 2nd and 4th Monday at 4pm. Each session the IDEA Lab team will focus on a different design project and will highlight a piece of technology found within our lab.

Join us every second Monday for an entertaining book club where we’ll discuss a great kids book, do a related craft, and enjoy snacks.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.
