San Diego Opera’s Words and Music program is a collection of long-term in-school, after-school, and summer artist residencies.

Sharon Katz, founder of The Peace Train Project and Band, will direct a summer camp at Central Library on Monday June 17th; Tuesday June 18th, Thursday June 20th; Friday June 21st and Saturday June 22nd from 1.00pm-3.00pm.

Providing enrichment for our animal friends is incredibly important! During this monthly program you can help us make fun and easy enrichment items for homeless animals at our local Humane Society. 

Uke players of all skill levels are invited to come together to strum, sing, learn, teach, share, and most of all, have fun.

Join us to commemorate and celebrate Juneteenth with a celebratory craft! We’re crafting Confetti Poppers! Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. 

Join us for an hour of crochet! Any skill level is welcome - we can teach you. Materials will be provided, or bring your own projects.

Create a puppet to keep from recycled and reused materials including a pool noodle. From this imaginative assembly process, fantastic creatures arise in front of our very eyes! Ages 8 and up recommended. Sponsored by SRFOL.
