Join our Children’s Librarian Miss Luz for stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of fun! This Storytime is designed especially for children ages 2-4. This program meets every Wednesday.
Meditation for a Happy Life
A guided meditation based on Buddhist wisdom to find happiness and peace in daily life.
A 45 minute Storytime for young children including books and music with the addition of American Sign Language signs with Jennifer Duncan from Signs at Play.
Create a Difference in Your World (4-day camp) presented by Microsoft
In collaboration with Microsoft and the San Diego Public Library, here is an opportunity to sign up for the Creating a Difference in Your World virtual workshop.
Fun poses for parents and kids, yoga storytime and a bit of singing. Watch your child transform into a cat, monkey, dog, lion, and much more! Free for children of all ages!
Instructors are from Silver Age Yoga. Every class utilizes chairs but please bring your own exercise mat if desired. No reservations required.
Creative Writing Group
If you have a love for writing and would like to develop your skills, this workshop is an excellent place for you. You will write short stories and poetry, share your work with others and discover other's work.
Join us each week to make a new craft. All materials will be provided.
UC Book Club (in the Reading Room)
Monthly book discussion group. Members selects titles to read throughout the year, with discussion led by different volunteers from the group each month.

Children from the audience will have a chance to act out Goldilocks and the Three Bears by James Marshall. Teacher and children’s theater actress, Stacey Wein, provides expert direction and luxurious costumes.
Afternoon Anime
Life is better with anime, so join us every Wednesday for a one hour anime break! We’ll provide the anime and some light snacks, just come and unwind with us!

Painting with Ms. Ana
Paint high, paint low. Paint often so that your heart's all aglow. Join Ms. Ana as she helps guide you through a fun paint session!
Paws for Reading is a program that allows children (K - 4th grade) to read aloud to a therapy dog in order to improve reading and communication skills.
Craft Time
Fun and simple crafts for children 3 years & up. Younger children may require parental assistance.
