Before TV & comic books existed in Japan, there was kamishibai, or paper theater. With a wooden box, illustrations & a great narrator to tell the story, kiddos will bein for a treat!

Story times are back at Logan and we're excited to have you join us!

All story times will take place in the community room to provide enough space for all of our friends!

Enjoy fun songs and engaging stories with Carrie The Librarian! Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a limited capacity for this event. Masks for children 2 and older and unvaccinated adults are required.

Looking for fun learning experiences for your infant, toddlers, or/and preschoolers?

Neighborhood House Association will be providing information and will be recruiting for the Early Head Start and Head Start program.

This bilingual program is designed for preschool children to experience both English and Farsi in a fun, engaging setting. During each session, we will read stories and sing in both languages. 

Story time in the park geared towards children 5 and under.  Older aged children are welcome too!  Come sing, dance and have fun!  Bring a blanket to use to sit on the grass if you'd like!

Ages (18 months - 2 years) 

Get moving with this active story time full of books, songs, movements, and fingerplays.  

It is how it sounds: Show & Tell!  Every child has the opportunity to share something in the course of the program!  If your child isn't much of a speaker yet, no worries!  He can show everyone

Recommended for ages 2-5, this storytime program includes books, songs, games, and early literacy fun!

Mr. Larry reads stories and sings stories for babies and toddlers, focusing on ABCs and 123s, followed by craft time.

Join us for Toddler Storytime Outdoors & in person with Mrs. Suzanne!  We'll have fun reading a book, singing songs & dancing to get our wiggles out.

Join us on the 3^rd Wednesday of the month for our LEGO storytime with Ms. Debbie. This special storytime is meant to foster creativity though the use of LEGO and storytelling.

If you have a love for writing and would like to develop your skills, this workshop is an excellent place for you. You will write short stories and poetry, share your work with others and discover other's work.

Bring your family and decorate a gingerbread house.  We will be working outside on the Cass St Plaza.  (If it rains we will move inside)

Please bring a bag of candy to share with the group for decorating.

Students will learn how to design and build their own websites using HTML and CSS. They will use templates to build a website to highlight a topic of their choice such as a favorite hobby, a blog or DIY projects.

Join us for story-inspired stretches, music, and child-friendly props! We conclude by using our breath to transition from silly to calm. Please bring a mat or towel.

Use baking soda and shaving cream or hair conditioner to make fake snow and then build a tiny snowman. [3rd-5th Grade]

Go to the Balboa Branch Library's Facebook page on Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. to do a great project.

Children ages 3 and up (parent assistance required for children 8 or younger) are invited to decorate and keep their very own gingerbread house!  All supplies will be provided.

Bring your family and decorate a gingerbread house.  We will be working outside on the Cass St Plaza.  (If it rains we will move inside)
