Introduction to Mindfulness and Stress Management
You are invited to join a 4 week course on mindfulness at the Kensington Library. Attendance to all four sessions is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. Beginner and attendees of all experience levels are welcome.
According to the Mayo Clinic, "If stress has you anxious, tense and worried, consider meditation. Spending even a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace." Every Saturday except the 1st Saturday of the month.

Bilingual English/Chinese Storytime

Dance Pants Bash!
Recommended for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-school age kids, this simple dance program will feature "The Wheels on the Bus," "Baby Shark," and more. Families, it’s time to show us your moves and come dance with us!
The San Diego Ballet offers free dance classes Saturday mornings at the City heights Library!
Class Description: Youth Ballet Class 10:00am- 11:00am
Students will work together in small groups to create their own vegetable batteries.

Sparkles the Clown Show
Sparkles the Clown will entertain with magic, comedy, and bubbles! This is a great event for kids! The program will be indoors, so, uh, dress accordingly.
Come learn chess! All skill levels are welcome. Chess club is for ages 7-17.
Learn about electronics and circuits while creating fun crafts projects! Possible projects include a moving origami swan, light-up LED bracelet or robot bug.
This is an in-person workshop
Students will discover the geologic activity happening all around them right now. The workshop will examine Southern California’s fault systems and look at recent earthquake activity using online tools from the US Geological Survey.
Poetry reading for published poets and guests of the San Diego Poetry Annual. Public welcome but no unescorted children. May or may not have refreshments. We haven't decided.
How do octopuses change color and why do oysters make pearls? Investigate how slimy sea creatures live and thrive in their underwater homes. Then create an artwork inspired by what you have learned.
