Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.
Would you like to learn to knit, crochet, do needlework or just spend time with other creators?
Bring your current project to work on, or if new to the hobbies, we'll help you get going!
These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences! I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Southern California Ballet is partnering with the Rancho Bernardo Branch Library for “Dancing Through the Pages,” a program that allows children to explore movement and dance through storytelling!
STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.
Join us every Thursday and Friday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm for Chess in the 1st floor main lobby. Downtown Chess meets in the 1st floor main lobby of the San Diego Central Library.
Ever wonder what it takes to make a video game? In this 5-day program, students will learn the basics of video game development and design using the Scratch programming language to build their own games. Software and equipment provided.
