Mind-Body Fitness for Older Adults is a restorative and contemplative class designed to promote physical and emotional balance, release stress, and create greater inner awareness through Hatha Chair Yoga.
Work on your flexibility, strength building and quiet your mind with functional movement practice. Participate at your own ability. Wear flexible clothing and bring any preferred yoga equipment.
Participants will work on art projects using Mindfulness- Based Art Therapy methods. Engage in the creative process of art as a way of self-exploration in a mindful way (NIH).
Play with your food at the library! Learn some basic cooking skills to get you started in the kitchen and get a treat to take home with you. Don’t worry, it is assembly cooking so there's very little heat. This program is geared for ages 3-7.
