Event Details

Join this family event where you plant a Jacob’s Cattle bean to take home to grow. Jacob’s Cattle beans are an heirloom bean native to Northeastern North America and were used by Indigenous peoples as a source of protein. It is a plump bean that looks similar to a kidney bean with an attractive red and white speckled pattern.

Also, meet San Diego County Park Ranger Lauren and see her display of local wildlife and learn more about the landscape of Southern California.

All materials will be provided.

The event will take place outside on the east entrance patio.

Participants agree to follow all relevant City of San Diego COVID protocols.
