A novelist, a memoirist, a playwright and an immigration lawyer examine the ways in which their work reframes acts of violence against women, and ultimately empowers survivors of sexual trauma. Domestic violence affects women of all ages, socio-economic classes and ethnicities, and yet it is rarely discussed within the affected communities. This panel offers a rare opportunity to have a frank conversation about the issue and explore creative and legal strategies to advocate for those who have been harmed by abuse.
