Humanist Author Grace Paley - Film and Discussion

Grace Paley is the Kahal Am Humanistic Jewish Role Model for 2019. Grace Paley was an American short story writer, poet, teacher, feminist, and political activist. She was known for her pacifism and opposition to nuclear weapons and the Vietnam War. For her "Collected Stories," Paley was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction. She was also a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship for Fiction and the Rea Award for the Short Story. Kahal Am will show the documentary film, “Grace Paley.” There will be a short presentation before the film and refreshments and discussion afterward. The program is free and open to the public.
