Description of Event
The JDRF San Diego Youth Ambassador Program began in 2013 and provides a unique platform for youth in grades K-12 who are living with Type 1 Diabetes. Youth Ambassadors are the “face” of JDRF San Diego. Youth Ambassadors share their story of living with type 1 diabetes in an effort for our community to gain a better understanding about T1D and the importance of raising funds for a cure.
The Youth Ambassador Kickoff is an annual event that kicks off the start of the 2018-2019 school year. We invite our local T1D community to attend for a brief presentation on the YA program and to work on an important craft project to support our JDRF San Diego Ride Team. This is also an opportunity for our ambassadors to meet other youth thri age who are living with T1D. We provide snacks and drinks.
