Description of Event
The San Diego Section of the American Planning Association is holding a program to focus on current housing regulations and recent legislation. The event is open to SD APA members and non-members alike. The program will feature:
Deana Spehn, Policy Director for Senate President Pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins, who will discuss SB 35, streamlining legislation recently passed by the legislature.
Seth Litchney and Collen Clementson from the San Diego Association of Governments to discuss: (1) the SANDAG growth forecast, with its focus on the number and distribution of housing units needed to meet the region's future growth, and (2) the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA)
Stephan Hill, staff member in Assembly Member Todd Gloria's office to talk about efforts in Sacramento to address housing issues across the state.
