Description of Event

Meditation is the art of letting go of disturbing thoughts and developing more positive and constructive thought patterns. Since it is mainly our mind that is creating our experience, it is essential that we learn how to use it to create the life we want. Positive mental habits have a tremendously beneficial effect on our health and well-being. In this class you can learn why meditation works, how to do it effectively and how to integrate the insights you gain in meditation into your life.

About the speaker: Gen Kelsang Lhadron is an American Buddhist nun who has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 17 years. She is the resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center San Diego.
