Calling all anime and manga fans! 🎉 Join us every Wednesday from 3:30–5:30 PM for Anime Club. Watch the latest and greatest shows, share what you’re reading, and meet other fans who love anime as much as you do.

Join us to get help from awesome volunteer, to boost your study skills in a fun, friendly, and stress-free space.

Come to the library for Arts and Crafts for children 5 and up.  No registration needed and materials are provided.

Join in as we read, sing, dance, and play at Preschool Storytime! Come and build essential early literacy skills and foster a love of reading. Designed for children ages 3-5.

This is a social group where you can practice your fiber craft in good company, showing off your latest projects, getting support, and make friends. All levels are welcome.

For those contemplating constructing a family tree, as well as for experienced genealogy researchers.

Volunteers are there to help guide you in your research.

Join the Spanish Club at PHR Library with Dalbert the Spanish Tutor!

How about a game of chess? All levels of chess experience are welcome, from beginners to advanced. If you don't know how to play chess, you can learn at Chess Club!

Through colorful picture books, catchy songs, and playful rhymes, Ms. Lea brings stories to life in a way that's fun, educational, and culturally enriching.

STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Join us every Thursday and Friday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm for Chess in the 1st floor main lobby. Downtown Chess meets in the 1st floor main lobby of the San Diego Central Library.

Bring the littles and come for a fun dance party and maybe a storytime!  We will dance to fun songs, use egg shakers, and dance with bubbles!

Join us for a Bilingual Hindi-English Story Time, music, crafts and play! 

Stop by and read to some fluffy friends! Join us as we host the San Diego Humane Society to promote literacy! They'll be stopping by with some furry companions that are itching to hear the next story!
