We are excited to offer 3D Printing in person! Stop by the La Jolla/Riford Library's IDEA Lab during open lab hours with your .STL file and staff will be happy to assist you.

Explore what makes the tech world run! In this hands-on program, participants will learn how algorithms, design thinking, and wire framing work while increasing their digital awareness and creating their own prototype in Canva.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Come build your creations while making new friends!  All Legos will be supplied by the North University Community Branch Library.  

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.

Discover why birding is an accessible and enjoyable activity for people of all ages. Learn what makes birds so fascinating while building the skills to identify the species around you.

Get your imagination flowing and explore the fascinating automobile engineering and design field! You will go on an enlightening adventure that explores the many parts that go into making an automobile work.

Play games! Get creative! Have fun! Each week Ms. Maureen will feature a different fun program, from trivia for kids, to making paper airplanes, to painting a self-portrait.

Put your engineering and problem-solving skills to the test by taking part in unique LEGO building challenges or let your imagination run wild and build your own special LEGO creations.

Join us every Monday for LEGO Power Hour! Build your own creations to display in our library.  Program will take place in our study rooms 3 and 4. 

Youth are invited to join the La Jolla/Riford Library and students from the Point Loma Nazarene Biology Department in a fun & hands-on series of Bio Lab workshops!

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

Get together with your friends after school and have fun with a big box of different STEAM projects and games.

Are you interested in learning Computer Aided Design (CAD)? Register to attend this introduction to CAD! Presented by your local FTC Team, RoboRavens, this program will cover the basics of CAD using Onshape. 

STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

LEGO Free Play: Imagine and build with LEGO! Keep your engineering and problem-solving skills sharp using the library's LEGO bricks.

Join us at the Innovation Station where we'll learn about electricity by making LED light up cards. All supplies are provided and no reservations are needed. Open to kids of all ages. 

Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. 3D printing available during class. Open to all school aged children. No previous experience necessary. No reservations needed.
