Program Description

Event Details

Haven't you always wanted to eat the food from your favorite books? Librarians Jenne Bergstrom and Miko Osada started a blog called 36 Eggs to explore the world of literary food, and ended up publishing The Little Women Cookbook. Join us for a fun conversation about historical recipes, the truth about pickled limes, and the journey from reading to eating to writing.

The event will feature sample bites from The Little Women Cookbook and a special appearance by The Old Globe’s Dramaturg, Danielle Mages Amato, to preview their upcoming production of Little Women, starting March 14th!

Books will be available for sale by The Library Shop and after the presentation there will be a book signing with the authors. Those who purchase a copy of the Little Women Cookbook will have the chance to win tickets to a performance of Little Women at The Old Globe. Proceeds from book sales support programming for the San Diego Public Library system.
