Event Details

Founder of the Ocean Beach Poetry Circle and an Ocean Beach resident for more than 50 years, LoVerne Brown wrote poems about nature, politics, social justice, and poetry itself.  She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the San Diego Public Library in 1999.  We will be featuring poetry from her posthumous anthology Garment for a Long Journey.
