Description of Event
Before school starts back up, we'll explore what you can to do to ensure the best results for children who have IEPs and 504 plans. Split into two sections, the first exploring some basic special education procedural rights that parents and students have and the second discussing tips to working collaboratively to ensure strong outcomes, we'll address everything from making sure the staff is aware of your child's needs and their IEP/504 to how to handle your concerns. This Parent Training is part of an ongoing series of special education topics intended to help parents understand their rights and be stronger self-advocates. There are lots of opportunities for questions. This series is presented by Seth Schwartz, Esq. of the Law Offices of Schwartz and Storey. Each Parent Training will include professionals in the community to help answer questions about their respective disciplines (to be announced). We hope you will join us.
