Creative writing tips to spark your craft and ignite your work.

This  two-hour class highlights numerous elements used in creative writing to build compelling stories. Through guided exercises, students will apply selected concepts and practice writing short pieces.

Topics may include: characterization, scene, dialogue, point of view, verb choice, sensory descriptions, tags, figures of speech, building suspense, showing vs. telling, voice/style, arcs, names and word choices, beginnings and endings.

Paper and pen only, no laptops, please. Ages 18+
