Starting Tuesday, June 1st, pick up your Take & Make Space Activity Kits at City Heights Library!

Each kit contains many fun intergalactic crafts & activities. In addition, participants will learn about the contributions African-American women have made to space exploration. 1 kit per participant, while supplies last!

Did you know Mae Jemison was the first African-American woman in Space? And that NASA's Moon Landing would not have been possible without the brilliant Katherine Johnson or Dorothy Vaughn? Learn more fun facts at NASA: https://www.nasa.gov/.../nas.../who-was-katherine-johnson-k4

Starting June 1st, kits are available for pickup between Monday-Saturday from 9:30 am -5pm. When you arrive at the library, give staff a call, & we will deliver your kit contact- free. 619-641-6100

Finally, the library is proud to announce our annual 2021 Summer Reading Program: Reading Colors Your World. It's easy complete any combination of 10 activities, reading hours or books read to earn fabulous prizes.
