Event Details
This is an in-person event at the San Diego Central Library. Masks are required for unvaccinated patrons and social distancing protocol will be followed.
Join a talented team of Palestinian American artists for a delightful evening of culture and stories. Shubbak means “window” in Arabic, used here to show how art and literature can open a window on another culture. Join us as Palestinian American artists throw open a window, reading from the personal narratives, letters, and poems of Palestinian Americans and Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank, including the work of famed poet Mahmoud Darwish.
Please scroll down to register.
All are invited to come and share in the creative expression of the featured artists, all living in San Diego! Featured readers include artists from the Palestinian Youth Movement, San Diego chapter group, and musician Farhad Bahrami.
