Description of Event

This talk is a recap of Dr. Wei Xu's serious [+SM]Art presentations at Comic-Con International in the past seven years (2012-2018). Many people probably didn't have chance to attend Comic-Con, and thus missed an opportunity to learn about [+SM]Art - an alternative way of STE+aM. As a RP resident, Dr. Xu is going to offer free [+SM]Art talks for the local community to boost [+SM]Art and STe+aM. The goal of this talk is to educate the public how science and math can be integrated with (visual) art so that learning art will be much easier and efficient with NO talents required. Basic principles and practical methodology will be covered in the talk. The symbol “[+SM]Art” was originally established by Dr. Wei Xu, an artist, mathematician, computer scientist, and author, who was praised as "The Modern Renaissance Man" by Korean media. The talk is about one-hour long, followed by Q&A and book signing (if the audiences bring their own copies of Dr. Xu's book "Drawing in the Digital Age"). Please contact DrWeiXu@gmail.com for RSVP.
