You need to understand patent drafting to protect your invention. Join U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Primary Patent Examiner Paul Yen to learn about the formalities and requirements of drafting a patent application, as well as common pitfalls to avoid. 

You should have an intermediate knowledge of the intellectual property system in general, and patents specifically, to get the most out of this workshop. 

Participants will also learn about San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Inc.'s free resources for under resourced entrepreneurs.
