Dr. Jaime Romo, EdD will speak about trauma-informed care (TIC) from a spiritual perpective. TIC keeps in mind the impact of trauma in people's lives and helps them transform negative issues by using person-centered approaches. Hosted by Tau Upsilon Alpha Honor Society. TUA is a registered student organization at University of Phoenix. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
Dr. Jaime Romo is a published author whose latest book is Healing the Sexually Abused Heart: A Workbook for Survivors, Thrivers, and Supporters. He is a TIC consultant for SAMHSA and Child Friendly Faith Project, and a Minister in the United Church of Christ for Healing and Healthy Environments.
