Description of Event

The Noor Collective presents a special interfaith gathering for Muslim-Christian unity, as both religions highly honor the Holy Messiah Jesus (pbuh), with this special screening of "Virgin Mary," a beautiful and high quality movie produced in the Islamic Republic of Iran (1997), in honor of the birth anniversary of Jesus that is celebrated by Christians on Dec. 25th. The story goes through Mary's life and the hardships she went through living in a corrupt society, but through the darkness her virtues shone a bright light into the hearts of the believers. From feeding the poor to inviting others to lead virtuous lives according to God's prescriptions for humanity, Mary is one of humanity's greatest honors. The movie is dubbed in English and is just under 2 hours long. The goal of this screening is to create harmony between the followers of Jesus, be they Christian or Muslim, in order to shine a light of unity and mutual respect in this world surrounded by dark forces of division.
