Join us for a lapsit storytime with board books, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays for pre-walkers. For ages 0 to pre-walkers.

Join us in this dancing storytime that geared towards toddlers and their parents. Enjoy new and classic stories of all kinds and get ready to get all those wiggles out and dance away the jiggles and pent up energy!

A story time designed for toddlers, featuring stories, songs, rhymes, and finger plays.

Join Children’s Librarian Miss Julie for stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of fun!  This program is designed for children ages 2-4.

The sessions are exactly the same. Ms. Joyce reads simple books, we sing songs, do our bouncy rhymes, fingerplays, shake our shakers, and have fun!

Sensory play. Join us outside to play with our new sensory tables. Mud play, sand play, and more! Program takes place in the garden, past the patio. 

This is a Storytime that supports cognitive development, social development and physical growth, language development, and sensory & motor development for your child incorporating playtime. Sensory Friendly.

Toddler Story Time in Kensington Park will be held at 10:30am. There will be stories, songs, and bubbles! Join the fun!

Babies and toddlers ages 0-18 months and their caregivers will enjoy songs, lap-sits and rhymes that foster early literacy skills.

Join us as we read, sing, and dance this special Storytime, which encourages a love of reading and builds essential early literacy skills. A unique craft follows each Storytime.

Bring the kiddos to the library every Thursday morning for a variety of play!  Storytime, crafts, dancing, songs and most of all FUN!

Join Ms. Camille and Ms. Melissa every Thursday at the OB Library for storytime and free play for children 0 to 5 years old. Each week children will have the opportunity to explore and socialize and so will their caregivers!

Preschool storytime for babies, toddlers, and all preschoolers!

Welcome families to Stay and Play. This program is focused towards children 0-5 years old and their caregivers. Every Thursday we will offer free play.

Sensory and early literacy play for little learners ages 1–5 and their caregivers.

Kensington-Normal Heights Librarians will share stories, songs, and bubbles with children ages 3-5. Older and younger siblings welcome! Bring a blanket to sit on the grass.

Join us for bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese stories and songs with Ms. Danning at the library. All ages welcome. The storytime will be once a month, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the library's Community Room

Saturday is Stay and Play in Kensington Park. Bring a blanket to sit on and get ready for music, toys, and bubbles! Recommended for ages 1-5. Older siblings are welcome to join in on the fun!

Children 0-5 years old and their caregivers are invited to join us for Odi Buddies! We will sing songs, do rhymes, fingerplays, shake our shakers and have fun!

Come and enjoy our free Zumba for Kids program for babies and toddlers. This program involves music and movement to help kids strengthen their motor skills.

Learn to use simple ASL signs to open a window into a baby and child's mind, lowering frustration, and enhancing bonding, speech, and literacy with music, stories, puppets, parachute & bubbles, all with ASL signs.

After Preschool Storytime, we will be hosting a Stay and Play! 

Parents and Caregivers- play with your children or watch them as they play with other children. 

Drop in for any technical assistance needed with our Digital Navigator every Thursday. 

Come bring your little ones for a Spanish book reading with dancing! This program is recommended for toddlers, preschoolers and early elementary school-age children.

Read along and sing for this fun interactive storytime. We will read picture books, move our bodies, act out stories, and sing fun songs and silly rhymes to build our skills with words and language. The storytime will be followed by a craft.

Bring the whole family for an afternoon of crafting fun!  Supplies will be on hand for this regular drop in program so the whole family can create.

Come join us for a signing storytime at the Balboa Branch Library. Signs at Play’s Jennifer Duncan will teach sign language basics to foster early literacy skills. Enjoy fun stories and songs.

Join us for a late afternoon pajama storytime with an engaging seasonal theme for young children including books, music, and bubbles with the addition of American Sign Language signs presented by Jennifer Duncan from Signs at Play.

Children’s craft every Thursday at 4pm. Join us every week to learn a different medium, how to recycle everyday materials into art, and explore monthly observances and holidays!

Join City Ballet of San Diego for "A Book and a Ballerina!" Enjoy listening to a read-aloud story, hearing from a professional ballerina, and learning some basic dance steps.
