Join us for a lapsit storytime with board books, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays for pre-walkers. For ages 0 to pre-walkers.

Join us in this dancing storytime that geared towards toddlers and their parents. Enjoy new and classic stories of all kinds and get ready to get all those wiggles out and dance away the jiggles and pent up energy!

Join Children’s Librarian Miss Julie for stories, songs, fingerplays, and lots of fun!  This program is designed for children ages 2-4.

The 2 sessions are exactly the same. Ms. Joyce reads simple books, we sing songs, do our bouncy rhymes, fingerplays, shake our shakers, and we have fun!

Sensory play. Join us outside to play with our new sensory tables. Mud play, sand play, and more! Program takes place in the garden, past the patio. 

For young children (ages 2-6) and their families: learn important social skills, problem-solving, and early literacy through games! In partnership with Toy Hermit.

Babies and toddlers ages 0-18 months and their caregivers will enjoy songs, lap-sits and rhymes that foster early literacy skills.

Miss Jennifer leads a special storytime using the excitement and fun of ASL (American Sign Language) core signs to teach baby signing and enhance the reading of well-loved children's picture books.

Join us for our morning storytime!  Every Thursday there will be a fun story plus some giggles and wiggles from 10am- 10:30am. 

Join us at our Summer Reading Program kick-off event! Reading comes alive as Wild Wonders presents their program "The Emerald Forest!" Come visit with the mysterious rainforest dwellers of South America!

Join us as we read, sing, and dance this special Storytime, which encourages a love of reading and builds essential early literacy skills. A unique craft follows each Storytime.

Bring the kiddos to the library every Thursday morning for a variety of play!  Storytime, crafts, dancing, songs and most of all FUN!

Join Ms. Camille and Ms. Melissa every Thursday at the OB Rec Center for storytime and free play for children 0 to 5 years old. Each week children will have the opportunity to explore and socialize and so will their caregivers!

Welcome families to Stay and Play. This program is focused towards children 0-5 years old and their caregivers. Every Thursday we will offer free play.

Kensington-Normal Heights Librarians will share stories, songs, and bubbles with children ages 3-5. Older and younger siblings welcome! Bring a blanket to sit on the grass.

Join us for a hands-on adventure designed for toddlers and TK learners! Young explorers will investigate fascinating themed palm stones using special Nature Bud's magnifying glasses from the Natural History Museum you can take home!

Come learn some simple signs and songs at this fun event!

Learn to use simple ASL signs to open a window into a baby and child's mind, lowering frustration, and enhancing bonding, speech, and literacy with music, stories, puppets, parachute & bubbles, all with ASL signs.

Children 0-5 years old and their caregivers are invited to join us for Odi Buddies! We will sing songs, do rhymes, fingerplays, shake our shakers and have fun!

Come and enjoy our free Zumba for Kids program for babies and toddlers. This program involves music and movement to help kids strengthen their motor skills.

After Preschool Storytime, we will be hosting a Stay and Play! 

Parents and Caregivers- play with your children or watch them as they play with other children. 

Read along and sing for this fun interactive storytime. We will read picture books, move our bodies, act out stories, and sing fun songs and silly rhymes to build our skills with words and language.

Help your child explore and reinforce their knowledge of the alphabet this summer! Through engaging Animal Alphabet crafts, songs, letter writing, and activities, your child will build a solid foundation for reading.

This summer, build confidence in core math concepts!

Kick-off our Summer Reading Program -Level Up at the Library... with an afternoon of music! Ralph’s World is a mega-fun music show where kiddos rock and dance to their delight.

Bring the whole family for an afternoon of crafting fun!  Supplies will be on hand for this regular drop in program so the whole family can create.

Play, and learn how children become strong leaders! This series of events starts May 14th and includes a storytime, crafts for kids, and new books to read. Every Wednesday until June 18th.

Why be BORED when there is BOARD Game Club every Wednesday, 3:30-4:30?  Come on down to the Children's and Teen Areas where you will find classic board games as well as steam based games.  Bring your friends -

Use your creativity and engineering skills to build a variety of contraptions and mazes. Make ‘em tall, make ’em fast, make ‘em COMPLEX!

Parking at the Library:

Join us for a late afternoon pajama storytime with an engaging seasonal theme for young children including books, music, and bubbles with the addition of American Sign Language signs presented by Jennifer Duncan from Signs at Play.

Join us every other Thursday for fun sensory play, arts & craft, & fun games. For kids age 3 to 8 years old. 

Come enjoy a pajama party with us in the cozy, downstairs reading nook!
