Join us for a special Let’s Play, Thursdays! in celebration of Filipino American History Month.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

Bring the littles and come for a fun dance party and maybe a storytime!  We will dance to fun songs, use egg shakers, and dance with bubbles!

Please join us for storytime and craft every Saturday morning in the Children's Area at 10:00AM. 

Build, build BUILD!!!  Come join us for a fun filled activity on alternating Saturdays here at the Linda Vista Library.  Kids can create something unique or build skyscrapers, spaceships, and more!  Let your imagina

8 Week Ukulele and Literacy Program for Ages 3-7

Join is for a Storytime in the Garden at the College Area Community Garden!

Join us for a special Muertos/Sugar Skull Story Time in Kensington Park with Ms Jackie!

Recommended for tweens and teens, this Día de los Muertos craft program will focus on making a one-of-a-kind Nicho box. All supplies will be provided.

Open Adult Ballet Class 10:30am - 12:00pm

Learn how to weave with an expert textile artist from the San Diego Creative Weavers Guild!  This class is targeted to homeschooling youth ages 8+. No prior experience required, and all materials will be provided.

Free music classes for kids by Villa Musica!

Early Childhood Music, ages 2-4, 11:30am - 12:15pm

Music Adventures, ages 5-6, 12:30 - 1:15pm 

Come and enjoy our free Zumba for Kids program for babies and toddlers. This program involves music and movement to help kids strengthen their motor skills.

SCIENCE is everything! Want to know how? Come to the Library SUPER SCIENCE SATURDAY where tables will be set up, each with its own experiment for you to do! Dig in; mix some chemicals; shake things up! Because, on this day, you’re the scientist!

Career Quest is a discussion panel aimed at kids ages 8-13 who would like to hear from adults working in different career fields! We'll ask presenters all about their jobs: how did they know they wanted to go into this field?

This program is organized and led by Siddharth Yelisetty, Captain FIRST Robotics Team "Keep It Simple II" in collaboration with teams High Voltage, Green Griffins, Patent Pending and Spyder.

Weekly Art Workshops at City Heights Library

For All Ages

 Let's get creative with Perler Beads! You can make keychains, coasters, necklaces, bracelets, or ornaments by creating any designs using little beads bonded together with heat.  It's easy, lots of fun, and even meditative.

Music Adventures, Ages 5-6

Get together with your friends after school and have fun with a big box of different STEAM projects and games.

Visit the library to carve your Halloween pumpkins and keep the ghostly spirits away. BOO!

Bring your own pumpkin or use one of ours (supplies are limited).

Join us for some Halloween Fun!   Full Spectrum will be here with a Halloween Magic Show.  Costumes are encouraged.  We will trick or treat around the library, and make a fun craft.

What’s almost as much fun as reading a great book? Talking about a great book! Join us for a monthly session where we’ll discuss the book choice for the month and do a related craft together.
