Join us Thursday mornings at 10am for stories, songs, finger games and more! 

With the help of her ukulele and even some puppet friends, Miss Marae will guide and encourage you to explore music with your child.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

Join us for a monthly art class for homeschoolers ages 6 and up. We'll engage in various artforms including drawing and painting. Registration is required below.

Bring the littles and come for a fun dance party and maybe a storytime!  We will dance to fun songs, use egg shakers, and dance with bubbles!

Please join us for storytime and craft every Saturday morning in the Children's Area at 10:00AM. 

Stop by and read to some fluffy friends! Join us as we host the San Diego Humane Society to promote literacy! They'll be stopping by with some furry companions that are itching to hear the next story!

Let’s get those wiggles out! Kids are invited to dance, sing, and shake along to all their favorite songs—think “Baby Shark,” “The Wheels on the Bus,” and plenty more.

Join Zovargo for an educational, interactive, animal program! Learn about the amazing abilities these animals have and how you can help make a difference in the lives of their wild cousins!

Before TV and comic books existed in Japan, there was Kamishibai, or paper theater. With a wooden box, illustrations, and a great narrator to tell the story, kiddos will be in for a treat!

Come and enjoy our free Zumba for Kids program for babies and toddlers. This program involves music and movement to help kids strengthen their motor skills.

LEGO Free Play: Imagine and build with LEGO! Keep your engineering and problem-solving skills sharp using the library's LEGO bricks.

Join us on the second Saturday of every month at 12:30pm for Sign Language Storytime. Children and parents will have the opportunity to learn new signs, sing, read and play. 

Come read with Chance, the friendly therapy dog! Kids can enjoy one-on-one reading time with Chance in a calm and welcoming setting. Build confidence, practice reading skills, and make a new furry friend!

Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. 3D printing available during class. Open to all school aged children. No previous experience necessary. No reservations needed.

Love animals? Explore careers that work closely with animals, such as vet, zookeeper, marine biologist, and dog groomer, and learn what kind of knowledge, experience, and training you will need to break into the field.

We supply the Legos, you provide the creativity!  Children are invited to unleash their imaginations and build!  All materials must stay at the library. Lego has small pieces and parental supervision is required.

STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Join us every Monday evening for Create! @ the Library. Each week we will feature a new, fun craft that helps develop fine motor skills and creativity. This program is intended for youth, ages 5-11.

Come build your creations while making new friends!  All Legos will be supplied by the North University Community Branch Library.  

Students use projects and demonstrations to learn about key classical physics concepts like forces, motion, gravity, buoyancy, springs, and more, while building their own machines!

Come enjoy a pajama party with us in the cozy, downstairs reading nook! 

Looking for a fun way for your child to improve their Spanish?

This conversation night and book club is perfect for students who want to boost their Spanish language and reading skills. Read, play games, and have fun!

Join us for pajama storytime featuring sign language basics to foster early literacy skills with Miss Jennifer from Signs at Play, now on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month @6pm.

Put on your favorite PJs and join Ms. Carrie in the Community Room Tuesday evenings for a pajama storytime.

Pajamas are encouraged, but not required. No sign up required.
