In honor of Black History Month San Diego Public Library, in collaboration with San Diego Unified School District, present this youth author event featuring author and historian Anne C. Bailey.  This virtual event will include an interactive conversation facilitated by students with Professor Bailey where she will discuss her work documenting slavery and the concept of "living history" in which events of the past are connected to current contemporary issues.  Images of student artwork honoring Black history, community, and culture will be displayed at the event.
