Program Description

Event Details

FREE virtual summer camp for tweens & teens by Villa Musica and Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library! Join us in this week long virtual camp to learn the fundamentals of creating beats with a computer. Students will use a free online Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to learn how to create an original piece of music while also developing their ear for mixing and mastering tracks. Techniques covered in the class will help participants better understand the role of an audio engineer in today’s world, while also going over an instruction to lyric and songwriting. By the end of the week, students will have created a piece that they can upload online to share with friends, family, and followers.

August 3-7, Monday – Friday, 9am-12pm. Space is limited. RSVP today to receive a Zoom link to participate!
