This intro to Blender 2.8 will focus on how to design 3D models for the purposes of 3D printing. Please note that the process of 3D printing will not take place during these workshops. To learn more on how to access 3D printers, please visit Innovation Lab at Central Library.

The instructor will review the following topics in Blender 2.8:

  • Preferences
  • User interface
  • Navigation
  • Modes
  • Brief look at the 3D cursor 
  • Primitives
  • Booleans & other Modifiers (if you use TinkerCad you are largely working with booleans)
  • Necessary cleanups
  • Box Modeling
  • Design a battery box
  • Brief look at Sculpt mode
  • And if time allows a second build project.

Bring a personal flash drive to save Blender files.

This 4-part session will take place during the following Sundays from 1-4 p.m.: November 10, 17, 24 and December 1.
