The 2020-21 edition of the San Diego Poetry Annual features 269 poems by more than 250 poets, including the STEVE KOWIT POETRY PRIZE 2020 honorees, and many of the finest poets from our region and beyond, including former U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera, former U.S. Beat Poet Laureate Chris Vannoy, and internationally acclaimed poets Marge Piercy, Jan Beatty, and Maria Mazziotti Gillan, plus the Steve Kowit Poetry Prize honorees, Native Poets, and poems from Juvenile Hall.

Fractal, the bilingual volume of the San Diego Poetry Annual, edited by Olga Garcia, features 60 poems written in Spanish and translated into English, from 96 poets and translators. Southwestern College hosts a reading from the bilingual volume each spring, and the Cultural Center of Tijuana hosts a reading each year.

The Kids! San Diego Poetry Annual 2020 was published on December 1, 2020. It contains 67 poems from 53 preteenagers (ages 6 to 12), and five original drawings, created in free workshops, some by Zoom during the pandemic.

The three volumes comprise the complete SDPA. All three volumes are donated to public and university libraries throughout our region. The SDPA is part of the permanent collections of the San Diego County and City Library systems, college and university libraries, and the libraries of independent city in our region.
